Exhibition "FoodExpo"

        The 4th year students of KazETU College majoring in Food Production Technology visited the food industry exhibition "FoodExpo".

       In the fall of 2021, FoodExpo will become the main B2B platform for the food industry of Kazakhstan and Central Asia, which demonstrated the division of forces in the industry in accordance with the new reality. At the exhibition stands, leading manufacturers of food and beverages presented new products to the retail of Kazakhstan to expand the assortment range of any category. The exhibition was complemented by discussions of the expert community, world innovations in equipment, ingredients, technological initiatives to optimize the production processes of food preparation, as well as industry-specific study of diversified scenarios for the development of the food industry in the Central Asian region.

        For 23 years, the exhibition has turned from a platform of direct industry interaction into the main reference point in the food market for domestic and foreign producers, the starting point for many of today's leaders of Kazakhstan in this field, and, in addition, FoodExpo Qazaqstan has secured the status of a platform for interregional cooperation. Every year, for the development of trade and economic relations between the countries, more than 10 national expositions are presented at the exhibition, organized with the support of sectorial ministries and departments of the countries of the near and far abroad.

        This year the exhibition was attended by national stands of Belarus, Germany, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, the USA, Turkey, Uzbekistan, South Korea and other countries. More than 17 regional export centers of the Russian Federation have already formed collective expositions to establish business ties between Russian enterprises and the business community of Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

         FoodExpo Qazaqstan 2021 expects more than 400 companies among the exhibitors, to date, companies from Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, the USA, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France, the Czech Republic, Sri Lanka, South Korea have confirmed their participation.

        The participants presented their products in all segments of the food industry: processing, frying, drying, cold storage, packaging, etc., starting from equipment and products for the restaurant and hotel business and ending with a wide range of finished products and beverages -confectionery, dairy and meat products, snacks and groceries, tea and coffee, as well as additives and spices.

         FoodExpo Qazaqstan is held annually with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the administration of Almaty, industry unions and associations.

         The organizer of the exhibition is the Kazakhstan exhibition company ITECA.

         The organizers of the exhibition were guided by the recommendations of local executive bodies, WHO and the World Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) and during the exhibition all sanitary and hygienic measures, sanitary treatment and disinfection were provided to prevent the spread of COVID 19.
