On November 17, the report of the Rector of the Kazakhstan Engineering and Technological University, Sarsenbekova G.A., for the academic year 2020–2021 was held. The meeting was held live via the Zoom program and was broadcast on Facebook, Youtube, and Instagram. The meeting was attended by members of the Supervisory Board, public figures, representatives of research institutes, representatives of the political council of the Bostandyk district branch of the "Nur Otan" party of Almaty, students, graduates, parents, faculty, and employers. Among them were doctor of philology, professor Osman Asly Alikyzy, famous poet Serik Kaliev, the chairman of the Almaty city council of aksakals Bekzhan Khamitovich, the head of the branch of JSC "Kazakhtelecom"-"Telecommunications network control center" N. Bektursunov, Raya Eskendir-correspondent of the newspaper "Almaty Akshamy", Bagdagul Muratovna-correspondent of "Ana tili" newspaper, Adyrna.kz information agency, Mezgil.kz journalists of the information agency, and other representatives of mass media. 

  In her report, rector of the Kazakhstan University of Engineering and Technology Gulnar Sarsenbekova focused on the results of work in the academic year 2020–21, the repair of academic buildings, the launch of a new research library, the commissioning of the conference hall, a hall of young scientists, a fund of rare books and digitized book room, a small assembly hall, and new research laboratories in connection with globalization and the increasing role of education in society. She spoke about carried out measures on socialization, the organization of creative growth of students, changes in the educational program in 4 basic directions: academic activity; scientific-innovative activity and international cooperation; social-youth policy; financial, economic, and material-technical development; the level of knowledge of students at KazETU and achievements in republican sports events. Gulnar Sarsenbekova also noted the importance of new methods and strategies to improve competitiveness and work with quality, as well as highlighted the new educational programs. Dwelt on the research work, research projects of scientists in the teaching of the new generation, necessary to shape the future, spoke about the benefits that the results bring to society. Informed about achievements of the internationalization strategy, expansion of connections with more than 50 international universities.   About all the activities carried out within the walls of KazETU in the idea of "Mangilik el" and the program "Rukhani zhangyru". Thanks to the use of rational technologies, the number of students has increased several times both quantitatively and qualitatively, and new projects at KazETU are aimed not only at professionalism, but also at the formation of soft skills.

  At the end of her speech, rector of Kazakhstan Engineering and Technological University Sarsenbekova G.A. congratulated all the students on International Students' Day, answered in detail the questions raised, and shared information.
