Recently, a meeting was held between the management of the international engineering and Technological University and the management of the Republican state enterprise on the right of Economic Management "Institute of Botany and phytointroduction" of the Committee for Forestry and wildlife of the Ministry of Ecology, geology and natural resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, Gulnar Alibekovna, rector of the international engineering and Technology University, spoke about the work of faculties that train specialists in this field, and discussed proposals for the development of joint scientific and innovative projects in a new direction with the Institute headed by Gulnar Tokbergenovna, doctor of the National Academy of Natural Sciences of Kazakhstan. In the future, in order to train high-quality specialists, it was decided to regularly conduct special lectures by well-known researchers of the Institute, combining their knowledge with experience at the "Institute of Botany and phytointroduction".
Today, the institute is engaged in conducting fundamental and applied innovative research, taking into account the achievements of World Science in the field of Botany and phytointroduction. The territory of the institute includes the main Botanical Garden with a total area of 103.6 hectares, the Zhezkazgan and Ili Botanical Gardens, as well as the botanical garden created in Astana in 2018.

At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a bilateral agreement and agreed to develop cooperation in the field of scientific, technical and innovative activities, conduct research work within the framework of joint projects on the basis of research centers, laboratories, and jointly train highly qualified personnel.
