On February 9, 2023, on the basis of the International University of Engineering and Technology, in order to activate the work on commercialization in the field of scientific research, a seminar "Development of robotic systems for tracking the migration of representatives of the animal world, creation of automated elements for laboratories" was held jointly with the staff of the Zoology Research Institute. The seminar was attended by the President of MITU – Doctor of Economics, Academician R.B. Zhumagulov, Rector of MITU – Professor G.A. Sarsenbekova, Director General of the Institute of Zoology – Doctor of Biology, Professor R.V. Yashchenko, as well as leading researchers of the Research Institute, scientists and developers of MITU. The staff of the Research Institute of Zoology presented presentations and voiced the need to develop special robotic systems that allow for high-quality monitoring of the migration of birds and other representatives of fauna in order to prevent the spread of dangerous infectious diseases transmitted from animals to humans. The groundwork for the development of automation systems for microscopic photographing and animal DNA research in laboratory conditions is demonstrated. MITU employees, in turn, showed the existing developments in the field of robotics and intelligent systems.
This event made it possible to summarize the existing reserve of the scientific and educational organization, and also was the start for the formation of research applications for the commercialization of the results and the output of the developed products to the domestic and foreign market. The development teams agreed to participate in the "Commercialization Reactor" organized by JSC "Science Foundation".
