On April 21, 2023, the Department of Economics and Business held an annual interuniversity competition of student projects "Sharks of Business" among higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The welcoming speech was delivered by the head of the Department of Economics and Business, Ph.D. Assoc. Professor Dildebayeva Zh.T. she congratulated all the participants of the competition, also noted that this event is aimed at stimulating and activating entrepreneurial, enterprising thinking and competencies, also Zhulduz Tursunovna, stressed that the role of the student project competition is to support talented students, development of creative abilities and involvement in research work. 
Doctor of Economics Professor M.V. Akhmedyarova also congratulated all the participants of the competition and noted that 12 projects were submitted to the competition and basically many projects are a continuation of projects supported by the round table "I am an entrepreneur", which was held on April 7, 2023.
All the presented projects of students were visualized with visual slide material. 
The level of student projects was assessed according to the following criteria: the novelty of the project idea, the clarity of the goal and objectives, the quality of marketing research and financial and economic calculations, risk assessment, the level of use of software products, etc.
According to the results of the student project competition, the winners were determined and awarded diplomas:
  I degree diploma – awarded to Joseph Kurochkin, 1st year student of the International University of Engineering and Technology" 
     The diploma of the II degree was awarded to Atynbek Zere, a 1st-year student of the OP "Finance of the International University of Engineering and Technology 
       The diploma of the II degree was awarded to Gabitova Umit, Isakul Elana, Kabieva Zhuldyz, Kaldarbekkyzy, 3rd year students of the International University of Tourism and Hospitality of Turkistan
The diploma of the III degree was awarded to Malakhan Fariza, a 3rd-year student of the OP "Finance" of the University of Turan
The diploma of the III degree was awarded to Kasymova Arai, a student of the 1st year of the OP "Economics", Al-Farabi Kazakh National University
The diploma of the III degree was awarded to Bekmuratova Sholpan, a 3rd-year student of the OP "Finasy" of the M.H. Dulati Taraz Regional University 
According to the results of the project competition, the head of the department, PhD Assoc. professor Dildebayeva Zh.T. and Doctor of Economics, Professor Akhmedyarova M.A. expressed gratitude to the participants of the student project competition and scientific supervisors for the preparation of students and certificates of participation were awarded.
