On the 26th of October of the recent year, KazETU College held a seminar on the topic "Corruption is an epidemic, its elimination is a task!".

The round table was attended by Deputy Director for training and production of the College Tolendi Olzhas Maratuly, teacher of special disciplines Bekturgan Umit Kuryshbekkyzy, lecturer of history of Kazakhstan Taken Areat Anisina, teacher of Kazakh language and literature Isatay Arailym Mahazhanova and about 250 students of 1,2,3,4 courses.

Purpose of the round table:

• formation of students ' negative attitude to corruption, explaining the harm caused to society and the threat to the future of the nation;
• awareness of the importance of such concepts as the formation of civic responsibility and integrity, prestige and the fight against corruption.

During the round table, participants discussed the concept of corruption, the level of corruption in Kazakhstan, the consequences of corruption, and the negative impact of corruption on various spheres of society.

During the discussion, students came to the conclusion that corruption weakens democracy and the rule of law, which leads to violations of human rights, distorts market mechanisms, worsens the quality of life of people, contributes to organized crime, terrorism and other threats to international security.

This is a dangerous phenomenon in all countries-large and small, rich and poor. The fight against corruption should be the duty of every citizen and the active citizenship of every individual.
