On 11.24.2023, a meeting was organized at the Department of Biochemical Engineering with representatives from the Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS. During the guest lecture, questions about the ways of HIV transmission, the interaction of HIV with the immune system, the effect of therapy on the development of HIV infection, etc. were highlighted.

– Young people are the focus group of preventive measures, in which, by conducting awareness-raising work, we also try to promote the formation of values and skills for a healthy and safe lifestyle, - shared a specialist from the Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS.

It should be noted that voluntary HIV testing was conducted among students in the educational programs "Biotechnology", "Bioinformatics and bioengineering", "Chemical technology of organic substances". The students got acquainted with modern infection testing methods – early-stage rapid HIV infection tests.  This method allows you to be tested for HIV infection without visiting a laboratory or clinic.
