Teachers and students of the Department of "Software Engineering" and "Smart Technologies in Engineering" attended the Digital Almaty forum, which was held from 1 to 3 February 2024. 

Digital Almaty is an established international forum providing a platform for discussing digital topics, transformation strategies and the latest trends in digital technology. The event includes a rich business program with relevant cases from leading experts, an exhibition of innovations from leading companies, as well as a diverse cultural and entertainment program, including the robotics championship and the largest startup battle in Kazakhstan. The central theme was "Industry X: The Digital Evolution of the Future". The event included plenary sessions of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and 29 panel sessions, which were attended by almost 300 speakers.

Bagdat Musin, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, highlighted the increasing interest in Kazakhstan`s digital solutions and the country`s impressive achievements in the field of e-government and online services. More than 230 IT companies were represented at the exhibition.

The Forum was also attended by Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek, who stressed the benefits of strategic cooperation between educational institutions and technological leaders. Such cooperation not only contributes to improving the quality of education, but also ensures that graduates will be successfully adapted to the requirements of the modern labor market.

Teachers and students of the department of "Software Engineering" and "Smart Technologies in Engineering" have discovered a lot of new and useful things in the field of IT, replenishing their knowledge base. This interaction with a wide range of ideas and advanced technologies has provided them with the opportunity to better understand and implement the latest trends in their fields of education.
