According to the results of the competition, the commission selected four candidates out of 67 applicants as the winners of the "Best Engineer of 2023" competition.

The Presidium of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Union of Engineers of Kazakhstan decided to elect the following candidates as winners of the Republican contest "Best Engineer of 2023":

1) Suanbayev Yerkebulan Asanovich

E.A. Suanbaev, as part of R&D, developed a prototype that allows the regeneration of chemical waste into secondary raw materials. On its basis, a complex for recycling by restoring toxic waste was created. The complex allows to recycle glycolic waste and obtain secondary raw materials with a purity of more than 99.9% recyclable. This technology corresponds to Kazakhstan`s concept of transition to resource conservation, import substitution and a green economy.

It should be noted that the proposals of E.A. Suanbayev in the development of four National standards in the field of production of glycolic liquids from recycled materials were approved by the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2) Kauldashev Kadyrzhan Amirzhanovich

Kauldashev K.A. developed and implemented the Kazakhstan Code of Public Reporting on the Results of Geological Exploration, Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves (KAZRC Code).

One of the most important innovative directions of the mining and geological sector of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan should be considered the transition to international standards for public geological reporting on the results of exploration, mineral resources and mineral reserves.

The transition to international public reporting standards radically changes the investment field of the industry, since information on resources and reserves will be presented in accordance with rules understandable in most mining countries of the world, and, accordingly, to foreign exchanges, banks and investors.

Also, the need for mandatory regular updating of information on resources and reserves using modern mining and geological information systems, on the one hand, and the elimination of lengthy bureaucratic procedures, on the other, will allow timely and prompt consideration of conjunctural changes in the global raw materials market, which ensures further integration of the mining and geological industry of Kazakhstan into the global industry market.

3) Bekbosynov Zhomart Amirbekovich

Bekbosynov Zh.A., being a responsible leader and innovator in the production and engineering activities of JSC Kentau Transformer Plant, carries out work on the modernization of existing and design of new products. The plant is known as a leading Kazakhstani manufacturer of transformer equipment of wide application, supplied to all sectors of the economy, including electric power, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, transport, oil and gas complex, housing and communal services sector. The equipment with the Kentau Transformer Plant brand works reliably throughout the CIS and Central Asia.

Using his developments, such major projects as:

Construction of 110/35/10 kV "Kommunalnaya" substation in Turkestan;

Construction of a closed 110/10-10 kV Nursat substation in Shymkent;

Construction of the facility "Cargo transportation route for facilities in the northeastern part of the Caspian Sea", project of Tengizchevroil LLP;

Future expansion project/ Wellhead Pressure Management Project (PBR/PUD), a project of Tengizchevroil LLP.

It should be noted that Bekbosynov Zh.A. was a performer in scientific grants:

"Production of a 0.4-35 kV digital protection device with a bypass function, overheating protection of live parts and built-in arc protection";

— "Research, development and development of a control system for electric motors of rocking machines for oil production using an energy-saving frequency converter for automation of control, electrical protection and optimization of energy consumption modes."

4) Abdirakhmanov Nurzhan Bazarbaevich

Under the direct supervision of Abdirakhmanov N.B., a project was implemented to revive the inactive fund of Karazhanbas wells. He oversaw the issues of improving the inter-repair period of wells by introducing screw pumps and SHGN pumps with modern technologies. Today, these projects are the main areas of production activity of JSC Karazhanbasmunai.

Being the curator of the technological part of the field intellectualization project of JV Kazgermunai LLP, the company received a bronze medal in the world competition "First Digital Oil Field Project in RCA Schlumberger" in 2019 (First Digital Oil Field Project in RCCA Schlumberger).

Later, while working as a production manager at JSC OzenMunaiGas, he ensured that the company achieved maximum oil production of 5.579 million tons over the past 10 years.

Today, Abdirakhmanov N.B. is leading a project for the rehabilitation of the Uzen and Karamandybas fields, where the main goal is to revive production, increase oil production to 5.7 million tons per year.

The republican contest "Best Engineer of the Year" supports talented engineers and gives an incentive to young people to choose an engineering specialty and will increase their interest and participation in the implementation of industrial and innovative projects of the country. After all, it is engineers who make progressive technological decisions, create new equipment and technologies, and design production processes.
