The Presidium of the National Academy of Engineering of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NIA RK) will hold a regular session of the General meeting on March 1, 2024.

The meeting will be held at 15.00 at 85A Dostyk Avenue, Almaty. in the Hall of the Academic Council of the Caspian University.

Prominent engineers and scientists, production specialists, heads and representatives of government agencies, large national companies and organizations are invited to the Meeting.

The main report will be delivered by the President of the Academy Zhumagulov Bakytzhan Tursynovich "On the prospects of engineering in Kazakhstan".

In the debate to the main report, U.S. Karabalin, academician, Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan, U.B. Akhmetov, General Director of KARLSKRONA LLP, Z.G. Ualiev, Director of the Institute of Mechanics and Machine Science named after Academician U.A. Dzholdasbekov, M.M. Moldabekov, Chairman of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, L.B. Olkinyan, Head of the Corporate University will speak JSC "Allure Group of Companies", R.A. Alshanov, Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Economics Department, Rector of Turan University, Zh.T. Konurbayeva, Vice-rector of D. Serikbayev EKTU, and others.

The scientific and engineering community of the country will consider current issues and tasks facing scientists and engineers of the country: the development of an innovative process in the economy; the participation of Kazakhstani scientists and engineers in the implementation of the country`s course for the development of the digital economy; improving the quality of training of engineering personnel, including specialists in the field of earthquake-resistant construction, thermal power engineering.

The issues of transition to a fundamentally new level of practical implementation of the results of science, its effective integration with production, business, and meeting promising technological requirements of the market will also be discussed.

The ceremony of awarding the winners of the Republican contest "The Best Engineer of 2023" will be held at the Meeting.

Elections of new full members (academicians) and corresponding members of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be held.
