My native language is holy. According to the list approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 20, 1998 № 3827 "On professional and other holidays of the Republic of Kazakhstan" the third Sunday of September was marked "Day of languages of peoples of the Republic of Kazakhstan". In this connection, September 19, KazETU celebrated the Day of Languages of the People of Kazakhstan. The President of the country K.Tokayev in his missive to the people of Kazakhstan said that it is necessary to strengthen the role of the Kazakh language as a state language. The event was organized by the Committee of Youth Organizations and the Department of Social and Humanities, which promotes the Kazakh language and respect for another language. The opening ceremony was opened by welcoming speech by Vice-Rector for Educational and Scientific Affairs of the University Mr. Akpanbetov DB. The first-year students Alimbaev Islam, Uteshova Lunara, Tasymova Aluawere were using three languages in their speech, Kynyaz Azamat, Nugmanova Diana were dancing and singing. This year is 175 years since birth of Abai Kunanbayuly. on this occasion Serikova Aida, Abdykulova Akgul Abai's song "My eyes are black" was sung in English and the audience was warmly welcomed. Kazakhstan is a multi-ethnic country that respects the nation and its people. At the festive event, our students testify to the fact that representatives of different nationalities can read poems in their native language. The event ended with the song "Together Together" by Mirken Rauan and Serikova Aida.Happy holiday of languages to the people of Kazakhstan!
