Scientific interests

A systematic and accessible presentation of the theoretical foundations and practical problems of designing and creating fiber-optic communication lines (FOCL) is given. The principles of propagation of optical signals along an optical fiber (s) are outlined, the structural elements of optical cables (OCs), their design and marking features are considered, their main parameters and calculation methods are given. To practical issues - the process of design, construction, installation and technical operation of FOCL; great attention was paid to the use of peripheral equipment and passive elements; measuring instruments.

Radio transmitters

theory and design of circuits of amplifiers of radio transmitting devices, stability of operation of amplifiers, power addition schemes. Fundamentals of the theory of autogenerators, schemes of autogenerators, methods of frequency stabilization. Analog and digital frequency synthesizers. The causative agents of radio transmitters and the construction of the latter with amplitude, single-band and angular modulation. Digital methods of generating, amplifying and controlling high-frequency vibrations. Multi-modulation methods. Transmitters of television signals and sound signals; radio relay, satellite and mobile radio communications.

Receiving and transmitting radio devices

The purpose of the discipline is to form knowledge about the principles of operation of radio receivers and transmitting devices for various purposes, their blocks and nodes. As a result of the training, the student acquires practical skills in developing structural schemes of radio receiving and transmitting devices, will be able to carry out calculations of individual nodes, use methods for monitoring the parameters of the radio receiving and transmitting device.

Television technology

The purpose of the discipline is to form students' basic knowledge about the main directions of development of modern television in the formation, transmission and reception of a television signal, as well as methods of improving these processes. As a result of the training, the student will be able to perform installation work, operate television networks.

Multiservice networks of subscriber access

The principles of construction and operation of multiservice subscriber access networks, technologies, protocols, switching methods, transmission methods, methods for calculating multiservice subscriber access networks, the fundamentals of building multiservice subscriber access networks, the methodology of engineering calculations of the developed networks and their elements, the principles of technical operation of multiservice subscriber access networks.

Wireless Technology

elements of cellular networks, a functional diagram of a cellular communication system, a personal radio call network, standardization in the field of telecommunications, a mobile station, a brief history of the development of mobile communication systems, a communication center. The construction of radio access networks, multiple access methods, the formation of channels in cellular networks, ways to increase the capacity of a cellular communication system.

Data digital handling

The purpose of the discipline is the formation of practical skills at the student on the conversion of signals into digital form, processing of digital signals, the use of digital processing of signals in information and entertainment complexes. As a result of training, the student has the means of computer modeling of digital signal processing installations, developing software applications for the implementation of the digital signal processing system.
