On November 12, 2019 the agreement on joint activity between the Kazakhstan engineering and technological University and the large scientific and production enterprise LLP "Scientific and production center of Microbiology and Virology" was signed. The Director is Amankeldi Sadanov Kurbanovich – doctor of biological Sciences, Professor, academician, a well-known scientist, microbiologist, winner of the State prize in science and technology of Kazakhstan, “Honored worker of Kazakhstan ”, holder of “Kurmet”.

Within the framework of the agreement, it is planned to perform joint research works, prepare bachelors and masters, organize professional practice and training sessions on the basis of the enterprise equipped with modern equipment.

Research and production center of Microbiology and Virology develops unique biological and medical products that can compete with foreign analogues. To date, there are 9 such drugs on the market, developed by scientists of this center.
