"Spiritual modernization: national values the basis of universal values". Under this name, on November 21, 2019, the Republican scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the birth of the great poet Abay Kunanbayev was held at the Kazakhstan University of engineering and technology. In order to implement the tasks specified in the article of the First President N. A. Nazarbayev "Look to the future: modernization of public consciousness", the annual conference was attended by representatives of the akimat of Bostandyk district, Bostandyk district branch of the party "Nur Otan". Almaty, office of spiritual revival of Almaty, anti-corruption Agency "Sanaly Urpak", literary figures and public figures, faculty of universities of the Republic, undergraduates and students. The conference program included a plenary session and a section. During the conference, 100 books translated into the Kazakh language and an exhibition dedicated to the work of Abay Kunanbayev were presented within the framework of the "rukhani zhangyru" program. Within the framework of the year of youth, a presentation of the project of Kazitu students "7 wishes of Kazitu students" and a charity event of the winners of the contest "Best in profession -2019"was organized.
Opening the conference, rector of KazETU G. A. Sarsenbekova noted that the program article of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev "View of the future modernization of public consciousness" is of great importance in the revival of national consciousness in the history of independent Kazakhstan in order for the country to become a strong and responsible nation.
"In this direction, within the framework of the "year of youth", our University implements many activities and projects that provide the basis for the education of national values. The aim of the projects is, first of all, the self-organization of young people, the ability to mobilize their efforts to the actual problems posed by society, together with the needs of the time. Young people have an active life position, leadership qualities, abilities to critical thinking, has a high moral, creative, life potential, has a great humanity to the modern society, the employer, the future of the nation." For example, Honored worker of Kazakhstan, member of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz REPUBLIC, Chairman of the Association "Memlekettik tilge-Kurmet", guest of the conference, Osman Asyli, elaborated on the spiritual values and importance of the native language in the spiritual and moral education of youth.
The head of the project office "Sanaly Urpak" of the Republican Agency for combating corruption Kayyrzhan Tokushev noted the importance of modernization of public consciousness, promotion of spiritual values, formation of high anti-corruption culture of youth, stressing the need to eradicate corruption as a social shock that hinders the development of competitiveness of our state and openness of consciousness and pragmatism. In this regard, all universities of the country should move to the training of specialists capable of working on the basis of honesty and humanity of citizens of society.
Member of the political Council of Bostandyk district branch of" Nur Otan "party, Director of" Altyn Orda " LLP Yessimbayev Kairat outlined the initiatives of the Head of state aimed at preserving the national code and promoting spiritual values, dwelt on the long-term plans and projects of "Nur Otan" party implemented within the framework of the "rukhani zhangyru" program, raised to a new height.
During the conference such outstanding students as: Professor of the Kazakh national agrarian University, doctor of historical Sciences zhuman Sayat, doctor of historical Sciences, Professor of the Kazakh state University of continuous education Kotosheva kaini Kenzhetaevna, doctor of historical Sciences, Professor KazETU Sarmurzina Galiya Altaevna made speeches.
Also during the conference there was a presentation of the project "7 rules of motivation for KazETU students ", developed in the framework of the project "Year of youth" on the eve of the 175th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayev. The project was implemented on the initiative of the rector of the University G. A. Sarsenbekova.
