In honor of the 9th of May - the Great Victory Day, KazETU college students congratulated and thanked veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Yerlanovna Kuralay, a first-year student, congratulated K. Sarsenbay, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War who lives in Almaty region. Kantarbay Sarsenbay went to the front in 1942 when he was 18 years old. For his courage at the front, he was awarded the orders of the "Great Patriotic War" of I and II degree.

"On the7th of May, I turned 97 years old. During the war I was in the same guard as the legendary Baurzhan Momyshuly. At that time, I did not even think that I would see the 76th anniversary of the Victory. Today I have raised my children, and now I have 25 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. Young people, always be ready to defend your homeland, love your country, be patriots. Now we live when we are well off. We are sincerely grateful to Yelbasy, our President for taking care of veterans like us. And most importantly, I wish everyone good health. Happy Holidays!" - said the veteran in his interview.
