Temirbekov N.M. is:
- Chairman of the Council of Rectors of the Eastern region of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- member of the Board of Directors of the joint-stock company "Regional Center for Public-Private Partnership of the East Kazakhstan region";
- Member of the Board of Directors of the Joint-Stock Company of the National Company of Social Entrepreneurship Corporation "Ertis";
- Member of the Board of the World Mathematical Society of Turkic-speaking Countries (VMOTS);
- deputy of the Maslikhat of the East Kazakhstan region;
- chairman of the standing Committee on budget, economic reforms and regional development of the regional maslikhat;
- member of the Political Council of the regional branch of the Nur Otan party;
- Party curator in the East Kazakhstan region in the direction of "Youth support" in the Nur Otan party.
In 2011. Temirbekov N.M. took an active part in the Presidential elections as Deputy Chairman of the headquarters of the Nur Otan party in Ust-Kamenogorsk, and is currently actively working in the election campaign to elect the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan as deputy chairman of the regional headquarters of the Nur Otan party.

He was the head of the project "Mathematical issues of difference schemes for atmospheric boundary layer equations"
Currently, the project manager is "Development of a geoinformation system module based on methods of intelligent anomaly detection for deep field surveys (IRN AP08856012)"
