The Committee for Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan announces the start of the "Best University Teacher" competition. Faculty members with at least 5 years of continuous scientific and pedagogical experience and high achievements in pedagogical and scientific activities are eligible to participate in the competition.

The competition is held in two stages:

intra-university stage – November 1–15, 2024;

republican stage – from November 18, 2024.

Applications and documents for participation in the competition are accepted in electronic format through the information system. https://universitycontest2024.iac.kz/. The submitted documents are reviewed by an expert group consisting of staff and faculty members of universities. The decision of the Higher and Postgraduate Education Commission regarding the participation of contestants in the second round is made based on the conclusion of the expert group.

Key dates:

November 1–7, 2024 – submission of the complete package of documents by the candidates in the Information System of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

November 8-10, 2024 – work of the expert group;

November 11, 2024 – publication of the expert commission’s decision on the University’s website;

November 12–13, 2024 – submission of appeals by candidates and work of the appeals committee.

November 14, 2024 – meeting and selection of candidates by the intra-university committee, and submission of the candidates' competition documentation to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for participation in the II Republican stage of the "Best University Teacher" competition.
