Republic Day – the way of modernization of society

The Republic of Kazakhstan is a young independent state. However, during this period, significant positive large-scale state transformations took place in the country.
On October 24, 2022, the Department of "Social and Humanitarian Disciplines and World Languages" organized a round table meeting on the topic "Republic Day - the way to modernize society".
The teaching staff of the department: Ph.D., Assoc. Professor Tukebayeva Zh.A., Ph.D., Professor Kotosheva K.K., Ph.D., assoc. Professor Shaimukhanova S.D. and lecturer Nurtazayeva A.B. noted that the declaration of sovereignty, which is the cornerstone of Independence, is more expensive for any people. During the round table session, the chronology of independence, the influence of political forces on independence, domestic and foreign policy, the chronology of the country's development as a unitary republic were widely discussed. The invited guest, Ph.D., Associate Professor Ermakhanova M.A. made a report.
The participants of the round table turned to the history of the holiday. On October 25, 1990, the Declaration on State Sovereignty of the Kazakh SSR was adopted by the Resolution of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR No. 307-XII. The Declaration proclaimed the sovereignty of the Kazakh SSR and declared the political and legal foundations of Kazakhstan as an independent state. The following were established as the fundamental principles of sovereign statehood: unitary state, integrity, indivisibility and inviolability of the territory, revival and development of the original culture, traditions, language of the Kazakh people and other peoples of Kazakhstan, strengthening of national identity.
It was noted that strengthening the sustainable development of Kazakhstan is the task of all citizens united around the idea of "Mangilik el".
