The second meeting of the Center for academic writing was held at KazETU

Academic writing is the ability to express and justify one's thoughts through a concise, yet sufficiently convincing scientific text. This style is distinguished by:
• the presence of certain requirements for the structure of the text and its design;
• the use of a scientific or journalistic style of presentation;
• ability to argue and paraphrase;
• the ability to correctly insert links and design a list of references.

On October 20, the second meeting of the Center for Academic Writing was held under the leadership of G.G. Tsyrenzhapova.

Students who have chosen this type of club activity will be able to realize their cognitive, creative interests in the field of oral and written communication, which, unfortunately, is the least developed and causes maximum difficulties. But it is this competence in the age of information technology that determines the success of the future specialist's professional activity.

The head of the Center for Academic Writing Tsyrenzhapova G.G., associate Professor of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, spoke about the goals and objectives of the Center, revealed the meaning of the term "academic literacy", justified the need for students to develop academic literacy, i.e. the ability to present their own thoughts and ideas in a structured manner, create scientific, professional texts of various types, effectively communicate they are up to the appropriate audience.Galina Gomboevna expressed hope that the work within the framework of the Center for Academic Writing will be practically useful.
