On July 27, an expanded meeting of the Academic Council of the International University of engineering and technology was held. On the agenda of the collegial meeting, which was attended by heads of educational institutions, heads of departments, directors of structural divisions, members of the council and teaching staff, six main issues were considered.
The meeting was opened by the rector of the University Gulnar Sarsenbekova and began with a report on the work of the International Engineering and Technology University in the 2022-2023 academic year and a report on the main directions of further development. he also spoke about the renovation of educational buildings, the launch of a new Scientific Library, the commissioning of a conference hall, a Hall of young scientists, a fund of rare books and a digitized Book Hall, a small assembly hall and new scientific laboratories.
In the report of the head of the University on improving the role of education and science that determines the civilization of the country, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev focused on specific goals and reported on the changes made to the educational program in the main 4 areas carried out in order to implement the University's Development Program: academic activity; scientific and innovative activity and international cooperation; social and youth policy; financial , economic and material development. He also classified the importance of new methods and strategies in improving competitiveness, working on quality, and focused on the specifics of new educational programs. In the 2022-2023 academic year, the university received international sales, educational programs are in demand on the market, complete with new programs "College-Bachelor's-Master's-doctoral", doctoral educational programs have successfully passed international accreditation.
He spoke about the measures taken to socialize students, organize their creative growth, the level of education of their students and their achievements at national sports events, research work in teaching a new generation necessary for the formation of the future, scientific projects of scientists and the benefits of their results to society. He informed about the achievements in the strategy of internationalization, the expansion of contacts with more than 20 international universities. He noted that thanks to the use of rational technology at the University, the number of students has increased many times, both quantitatively and qualitatively. He also noted that this academic year, for the first time, graduates of the university will be awarded a diploma of a special model of the International University of engineering and technology.
Next, the heads of the departments spoke about the work of the final Attestation Commission for the 2022-2023 academic year, the director of the Department for Academic Affairs, scientific secretary of the Academic Council Aktoba Zhenisova, reported on the approval of the work plan of the Academic Council. The report on the results of educational, methodological, research, international , social and educational activities of the Department, structural divisions for the 2022-2023 academic year was also heard. 
Gulnar Sarsenbekova summed up the work of the council, and the decisions on the issues considered on the agenda were discussed by the council.
