The rector of the international engineering and Technological University-Sarsenbekova Gulnar Alibekovna took part in the forum of higher education and science "development of human capital – the basis for the growth of the country's economy", which was held in Astana.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of Labor and social protection of the population Tamara Duissenova, Minister of Science and higher education Sayasat Nurbek, heads of universities and research institutes, young scientists, foreign and domestic experts.

During the forum, the participants spoke and noted the importance of developing higher education and Science for the country's economic growth.

Minister of Science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek made a report, noting that the total budget of Science for 2023-2025 increased by 3.5 times and amounted to 643 billion tenge.

"As part of the implementation of the instructions of the head of state, work was carried out to raise the status of scientists and strengthen the personnel potential. The salary of scientists increased 2 times. The average is 257 thousand Tenge, the maximum is 1.5 million tenge. As part of the improvement of legislation and debrocratization of science, taking into account international experience, the National Council for science and technology was established, sectoral roadmaps for scientific and technological development were adopted in strategic sectors of the economy," the minister said.
