On November 29, 2023, the VII traditional International Scientific and Practical Conference "Cultural Values of the people of Kazakhstan: in the context of world experience and modern trends" was held at the International University of Engineering and Technology, which was attended by deputies of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, research scientists from near and far abroad, teachers, doctoral students, undergraduates and students of leading Kazakh universities and colleges, school teachers. 
The Rector of the International University of Engineering and Technology Gulnar Sarsenbekova opened the International Scientific and Practical Conference with a welcoming speech, who stressed the importance of developing the cultural values of the people of Kazakhstan in the context of world experience and modern trends and wished success in the work of the conference.
Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tolamisov Amangeldy Gabdylkarimovich made the first report "Adal da, enbeksuygish ary zhauapty azamat – adiletti kazakstanyn myzgymas irgetasy" ("An honest, hardworking and responsible citizen is the unshakable foundation of a just Kazakhstan"). Then, Doctor of Philology, Professor, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhakyp Bauyrzhan Umirzhanovich made a report on the topic "Kazirgi kazak adebietin damu tendentiyalary men bagyttary" ("Trends and directions of development of modern Kazakh literature"). Scientist, poet, publicist Zhakyp B.U. He donated his books to the METU Scientific Library. The Rector of METU warmly congratulated Professor B.U. Zhakyp on his 60th birthday and wished him creative success in his work for the benefit of the nation.

 

The work of the International scientific and Practical Conference was continued by Deputy Director General for Scientific Work of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor Dzhamanbalayeva Sholpan Yerbolovna with a report on "The value content of justice in the public consciousness of Kazakhstanis". Then the dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, PhD, Associate Professor Meirbayev Bekzhan Berikbayevich; Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Gabitov Tursin Hafizovich; Director of the Department of Science and Innovation of the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture Nur-Mubarak Paltore Yktiyar Moldatoreyevich; Head of the department "Philosophy" Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor Kuranbek Aset Abayuly; acting Head of the Department of Philosophy, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU Kusbekov Duman Karibekovich Foreign guests and participants of the conference shared the results of their scientific research and their point of view on the topic under discussion: head of the Department of Tashkent State Technical University, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Khalikova Rahbar Ergashevna (Uzbekistan); Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Speech Culture of the Saratov State University of Genetics, Biotechnology and Engineering named after N.I. Vavilov", Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor Kalinichenko Elina Borisovna (Russia); Doctor, Professor Mustafa GÖKÇE, Mugla Sitki Kosman University (Turkey). Further, the discussion of socio-political, socio-humanitarian, linguistic, cultural problems in the context of modern realities and trends was continued in three main areas of the conference: "Fair Kazakhstan and "Adal Azamat" – the fundamental values of the people of Kazakhstan"; "The study, development and preservation of the languages of the people of Kazakhstan as one of the factors of building a just society", "Culture of constructive dialogue – world practice and current trends". The problems of preserving the traditional national values of the Kazakh people, the development of the Kazakh language, issues of bilingualism and polylinguism in the context of world practice and modern trends, constructive dialogue in the modern global world were considered and discussed. The scientific reports of the conference participants aroused wide interest, active discussion and exchange of views. Within the framework of the conference, a seminar "The place and role of traditional national values in the education of youth", an author`s seminar by Atubi Ikemefun Ogbonne "Traditions and customs of the peoples of the world"; an author`s seminar by Todd Evermon "My profession is my future" were held. Argyngali Talent, journalist, poet, holder of the title "Best in the field of culture" was invited by the Department of Youth Policy of METU to the open platform of MITU students. The meeting was attended not only by METU students, but also by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, K. I. Satpayev Kazakh National University, Nur Mubarak Egyptian University of Islamic Culture, L. N. Gumilev ENU and other universities. Such meetings, which are organized at the university, are aimed at popularizing national values among young people, contribute to the education of patriotism, citizenship, and tolerance.
