On 11.03.2023, an open lecture on the topic "The ABC of Safety" was held at the Department of Biochemical Engineering with the participation of a senior officer of the Department of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Almaty, Major Baymukhambetova Sandugash Amantaevna.

The aim was to increase the level of safety culture about the rules of conduct in emergency situations using the cascade training method. The essence of the method is that teachers who have completed training will tell colleagues and students what they have learned, and students, in turn, will share information with relatives and friends.

As part of an open lecture on safety, teachers and students were trained in correct and prompt actions in the event of natural and man-made emergencies. In addition, during the training, teachers and students learned about safety measures in mountainous areas, as well as learned about non-structural seismic reinforcement and the accumulation of a "suitcase of anxiety". To consolidate the information received, the viewing of educational videos on life safety was demonstrated, as well as visual aids in the form of brochures and memos were distributed.
