Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines
and World Languages Tsyrenzhapova G.G. conducted an open lesson on the topic
“Official documentation for internal and external use” for 1st year students of
the educational program “Information Technologies in the Electric Power
Industry”. After familiarization with the terms and definitions, the main types
of official documentation, requirements for language tools and the style of
their presentation, as well as “Model rules for documenting document management
in state and non-state organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan” were
considered, knowledge of which is necessary and important in future
professional activities. Students made presentations in which they demonstrated
an understanding of the content, common features and differences in the purpose
and design of specific types of official documentation. Students` practical
skills were reinforced by written assignments on writing official
documentation: a letter to a business partner, an explanatory note, a
statement, editing document texts with grammatical errors, etc. The teacher`s
posing of problematic questions, students` answers and reasoning and a creative
approach to preparing presentations contributed to a lively and interesting
conducting classes at a sufficiently high scientific and methodological level.
