On October 16, 2024, the Department of "Economics
and Business" hosted a guest practical lecture on the following topics:
"Business Planning and Financial Modeling using
UNIDO Methodology with Examples."
"Creation and Development of an Innovative
Project: A Practical Example of an Innovative Technology."
The speaker for the event was Leonid Anatolievich
Tsoy, General Director of Beta-Technologies, a patent author, and leading
expert in strategic development at Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and
Gas. He is also a member of the initiative group for the establishment of the
National Aerospace Agency of Kazakhstan (NACA RK).
During the lecture, Leonid Anatolievich Tsoy provided
detailed insights into the practical aspects of business planning and financial
modeling using UNIDO methodology. He showcased several successful projects that
have received investor approval and were implemented in various industrial
sectors. Special attention was given to the discussion of the creation and
development of innovative projects based on existing technologies.
Students actively engaged in the discussion, asking
questions about the differences in doing business in Kazakhstan and Russia, the
specifics of financial modeling in the industrial sector, and the adoption of
new technologies. The speaker emphasized the importance of a strategic approach
to business planning and addressed questions regarding the application of
international standards in entrepreneurship.
The lecture also covered the prospects of applying
innovations in the oil and gas industry and the role of young professionals in
developing new technologies. Students had the opportunity to ask specific
questions about the practical application of financial models and discussed
with the expert the future of entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan and Russia.
