Students of the "Smart Technologies in
Engineering" department successfully mastered and simulated a smart home
project, delving into cutting-edge technologies aimed at enhancing comfort,
safety, and energy efficiency in residential spaces. This allowed them to apply
their knowledge in wireless technologies and the Internet of Things (IoT) by
creating scenarios for automatic control of various home systems.
During practical sessions, students modeled functional
modules that control lighting, temperature, and security. The smart home
system, created for educational purposes, can automatically regulate climate
conditions, manage lighting according to the time of day, and monitor security
indicators, responding to the actions of "residents" in real-time.
