On January 5, 2025, the International Engineering-Technology University
hosted an expanded meeting of the Advisory Council. The event was attended by
the university`s rector, G. Sarsenbekova, members of the Academic Council,
heads of structural units, faculty members, and students.
The Rector of the International
Engineering-Technology University, G. Sarsenbekova, opened the Advisory Council
meeting with a welcoming speech. In her address, she emphasized that an advisor
is an educator who should not only support students in their academic pursuits
but also contribute to their personal development and foster an environment
that promotes spiritual growth within the group. The Rector wished the advisors
success in their work for the upcoming year, 2025.
On January 3, 2025, referencing
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s words from his interview with Ana Tili:
“Kazakhstan has many talented, ambitious, and educated young people. That is
why I never tire of saying that I believe in our youth,” the Rector of the
International Engineering and Technology University, G. Sarsenbekova, called on
advisors to actively focus on motivating students.
In Kazakhstan, 2025 has been declared the
"Year of Skilled Trades," while at the International Engineering-Technology
University (IETU), it has been designated as the "Year of Student
Self-Governance." This initiative aims to provide students with new
opportunities, fostering their education, the implementation of innovative
projects, and the development of leadership skills.
Such noble initiatives undoubtedly open new opportunities for students, enabling them to actively participate in the internal life of the university, influence decision-making processes, and develop both soft and hard skills.
