Recently, a meeting
took place between the rector of METU and the department advisors, where the
academic process and the effective use of students` time during the winter
holidays were discussed. The advisors happily reported that students involved
in career guidance activities had been working in schools and received
gratitude from the school directors.
Each department
shared its unique features and proposed ideas for organizing clubs aligned with
the students` future professions, which would provide valuable experience for
future specialists.
Furthermore, it was
emphasized that it is important to consider both students` achievements within
the university and their personal successes. Support and motivation are
essential for this. The significance of advisor hours was also highlighted, as
they give students the opportunity to address personal issues and establish
trusting relationships.
In conclusion, it was
emphasized that career guidance and the influence of advisors on students`
development play an important role in the university`s educational system.
