On January 30, 2025, a guest lecture in a roadshow format on the topic «Presentation of the Tourism Potential of Shymkent» was held in the assembly hall of the International Engineering and Technology University.

The speakers of the event were Yerlan Umarov, Head of the Tourist Information Center «Visit Shymkent», and Yerzhan Orynbasar, a professional tour guide. They provided insights into Shymkent’s key tourist attractions, the development of domestic tourism, and the region’s prospects in the hospitality sector.

The lecture sparked great interest among students, who actively asked questions about the tourism industry, career opportunities, and the future of tourism in Kazakhstan.
