Today,
February 11, is the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which
highlights the vital role of women researchers in advancing cutting-edge
technologies and scientific discoveries. At METU, significant scientific
projects are being implemented under the leadership of talented women
scientists, contributing to national science and technology development.
As part of the Young Scientists Grant Program, under the leadership of Ainur Serikbaykyzy Zhumali, a faculty member of the Department of Biochemical Engineering, the project «Investigation of Heat and Mass Transfer Processes in Multiphase and Multicomponent Turbulent Flows Using the LBM Method» is being carried out. This project focuses on studying complex heat and mass transfer processes in turbulent flows using the Lattice Boltzmann Method. It plays a crucial role in developing computational fluid dynamics and energy-saving technologies.
As part of the Commercialization Grant Program, the project «Organization of ICardy ECG Patch Production for Continuous Telemedical Heart Monitoring» is being implemented under the leadership of Aliya Elyubaevna Aizhanova, a faculty member of the Department of Smart Technologies in Engineering. This project aims to establish domestic production of ICardy ECG patches. These devices will enable continuous heart monitoring through telemedicine, opening new opportunities in healthcare and cardiovascular disease prevention.
We congratulate all women researchers on this significant day and wish them new achievements, inspiration, and success in their scientific endeavors!
