Giving a book is an expression of respect for morality and knowledge
February 14 — International Book Gift Day reminds each of us how important a book is. On this day, realizing that books enrich our inner world and contribute to the development of our thinking, we can give our loved ones wonderful books that will open the doors to a new world. METU teachers and students celebrated this day and presented books to each other. This activity develops not only knowledge and creativity, but also a culture of warm communication and support. Giving a book is an activity that brings warmth to the soul, joy to the heart, because every book has new ideas, new views and life experiences. This holiday is also a great opportunity to support libraries and promote reading. By instilling a love of books, we contribute to the education of future generations. After all, each book is a new knowledge and opportunity, a step towards expanding our worldview. Therefore, giving a book means sharing not only material, but also spiritual values. On this day, each of us will be able to read the works of our favorite authors and find new ways to understand and perceive the world. The METU team continues this initiative every year, striving to increase the motivation of students to read. This is because reading is the most effective way to develop thinking and expand cognition.
Give books-spread knowledge and kindness!
