Students of the International University of Engineering and Technology (METU) prove that even during their studies, they can not only gain knowledge but also actively apply it in practice. A striking example is a 4th-year student who works as the lead programmer at "Otbası baspa üyı", a company specializing in publishing and educational projects.
What projects is our student working on?
At the moment, he is involved in the development of two large-scale
platforms that play a significant role in Kazakhstan`s cultural and educational
space:
"Qazaqstannyn kïelı
orındary" – an electronic platform dedicated to Kazakhstan`s sacred and
historical sites. This digital guide allows users to explore the country`s
cultural heritage conveniently through a website and a mobile app.
"Qazaqşa aūdïo kіtaptar"
– a platform providing access to audio versions of literary works in the Kazakh
language. This project helps preserve and promote Kazakh culture while making
literature accessible to a wide audience.
From idea to implementation
The work of the lead programmer includes the creation and maintenance of
electronic platforms: developing websites, mobile applications, and other
digital solutions. The student is not only responsible for the technical
implementation but also actively participates in the strategic planning of
projects.
"For me, this is not just a job — it is an opportunity to contribute to the preservation of our country`s cultural heritage. Digitizing Kazakhstan`s sacred sites is an important step toward leaving a valuable legacy for future generations," – says the student.
METU is proud of its students who are not afraid to take on big challenges and contribute to Kazakhstan`s digital future!
