On the 30th of September, the Department of Social and Humanitarian Discipline and World Languages held a Scientific and Literary evening dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Akhmet Baitursynov “A.Baitursynov – ulttyn uly ustazy” at the Kazakhstan Engineering and Technological University, which was attended by students, university faculty, invited guests – B.M. Satershinov, Doctor of Philosophy (Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan), O.S. Zhubaeva, Doctor of Philology, Professor (Al-Farabi Kazakh National University), G.I. Abdieva, Master of Pedagogical Sciences (Almaty University of Energy and Communications).

          The scientists made presentations to the audience about the life, scientific-linguistic, pedagogical and socio-political activities of Akhmet Baitursynov, noting the versatility of the personality, the significant contribution of the Kazakh educator, linguist and bright public figure, revered as “Ult ustazy” (“Teacher of the Nation”).

          Then Alisher Sovetkan, a 1st-year student of the specialty “Automation and Control”, presented to the audience an animated film “Was Akhmet Baitursynov the Minister of Education?” This is the author’s work of the team “Bugin intertainment zhane Бүгін.kz “ I received a lively interest and response from the audience.

          1st year students Dilshada Isamukhamedov, Alua Bespaeva prepared a meaningful presentation “A. Baitursynov is a great teacher of the nation”, in which A.Baitursynov is presented as a scientist-educator, reformer, theorist of the Kazakh language and founder of Kazakh linguistics, teacher, great patriot, whose main principle of life was service to his people.

          1st year students Dilshada Isamukhamedov, Alua Bespaeva prepared a meaningful presentation “A.           1st year students Martynova Alexandra, Lerkh Sofia, Ponamareva Angelina, Ismailova Sima dedicated their speeches to the great personality of A.Baitursynov in the Kazakh language.

          Performed by Ayaulym Aitmukhan, a 1st-year student of the specialty “Software Engineering”, A.Baitursynov’s poem “Ozen men Karasu” was performed, as well as her own composition “Dedication to A.Baitursynov”.

          Erbol Narimanov, a 1st-year student of the specialty “Software Engineering”, read A.Baitursynov’s poignant poem “Fayzolla dosym”.

          The hosts of the evening were 1st year students of the specialty “Software Engineering” Aryn Gulsanat and Balkybai Zhasulan.

          A great contribution to the evening “A.Baytursynov – ulttyn uly ustazy” was made by members of the department “SRS and World Languages”, Doctor of Philosophy K.K. Kotosheva, Candidates of Philological Sciences G.G. Tsyrenzhapova and Zh.S. Kopbaeva. The moderator was the head of the department, Candidate of Philological Sciences Zh.A.Tukebayeva.

          The event was aimed at increasing the intellectual, cultural and creative potential, as well as patriotic education of the student youth on the example of the life and work of the unique personality of Akhmet Baitursynov.
