On the holding of a competition for the awarding of vacant educational grants
In accordance with paragraph 24 of the Rules for awarding educational grants for the
payment of higher and postgraduate education leading to the degree of “Bachelor” or
“Master”, approved by the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan
dated January 23, 2008 No. 58, the International Engineering and Technology University
announces a competition for awarding vacant educational grants funded from the
republican budget, released in the process of obtaining higher education, among
students studying on a fee-paying basis in the relevant educational programs.
To participate in the competition, applicants must submit an application addressed to
the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, enclosing
an academic transcript based on the results of the summer examination session of the
2025–2026 academic year.
Application deadline: January 20, 2026.
The procedure for awarding vacant educational grants released during the process
of obtaining higher education is carried out in the following order:

A student of higher or postgraduate education studying on a fee-paying basis submits
to the University Office of the Registrar an application addressed to the Ministry of
Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan requesting transfer to
further study under a state educational grant, along with a copy of an identity
document. A transcript for the entire period of study is submitted to the Office of
the Registrar;

The Office of the Registrar accepts the application and the package of documents and
registers them in the registration log;

The University administration reviews the submitted applications and submits them
for consideration by the Academic Council;

By January 25, the Center for Educational Organization (CEO) submits the list of
candidates for transfer to vacant educational grants to the Ministry of Science and
Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for a final decision. The student’s
application is accompanied by the decisions of the Academic Council and the Board
of Trustees, the academic transcript, a copy of the identity document, the original
certificate of the educational grant holder, and a copy of the dismissal order from
the university;

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan reviews
the submitted documents by groups of educational programs, forms and duration of
study, taking into account the year of admission, and in case of a positive decision
issues an order on awarding a vacant educational grant for higher and/or postgraduate
education. In the absence of applicants within a group of educational programs, the
vacant grants are redistributed within the field of training or area of education;

Based on the order of the Ministry on reissuing the state educational grant, the
National Center for Educational Standards and Testing issues a certificate of the
state educational grant holder in the name of the applicant;

Based on the issued certificate of awarding the educational grant and the order of
the Ministry, the Office of the Registrar issues a university order indicating the
date of transfer to further study under the educational grant.
