On October 5, 2023, Astana hosted the XV Eurasian Energy Forum of the competition of innovative ideas "Student Energy Challenge", organized jointly by the association "KAZENERGY" and the company "Shell Kazakhstan".
Groups "Daryn" and "alga", consisting of students of the International University of engineering and technology, took part in the forum and shared their ideas. It should be noted that Hitu students reached the final of the forum and were among the top 15 teams. 
The rector of the International University of engineering and technology Gulnar Sarsenbekova, who supported the talented students of the University who took part in the big race, went to the competition with the young people and showed great admiration. 
The projects of students of the International University of engineering and technology were supervised by PhD doctor, associate professor Zh.s. Baizakova.
