On October 6-7, Astana hosted the VII Central Asian International Forum on quality assurance in education "sustainable future of Education – Quality and competitiveness: historical perspective, current state and priorities". 
Rector of the International University of engineering and technology Gulnar Sarsenbekova took part in the traditional IAAR forum aimed at discussing topical issues of development of internal and external education quality assurance systems, expanding cooperation with foreign educational organizations, further development of quality culture and constructive interaction between the academic community and the international labor market.
The forum brought together representatives of state bodies of Kazakhstan, Belgium, India, Malaysia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Moldova, Armenia and other countries, international networks to ensure the quality of higher education, heads of universities.
At the International Forum, key issues were discussed: global challenges and trends in the development of the education system, the development of scientific and educational models and technologies in the context of digital transformation; ensuring the quality of medical education: integration of Science and practice.
The rector of the International University of engineering and Technology noted that topical issues raised at the international forum on ensuring the quality of Education will become one of the main directions of the University's academic policy. The head of the University drew attention to the recommendations and priorities voiced at the international level and noted that in the future these practices will be widely used in the work to improve the quality of Education.
