On April 18, 2024, the International Student Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions in the discipline "Accounting"  was held on the basis of the International University of Engineering and Technology.

The purpose of the Olympiad is to develop students` interest in scientific and educational activities, to assist in the formation of students` intellectual potential.

Such Olympiads contribute to the development of students` creative abilities, attract students to solving modern scientific problems, create conditions for realizing the innovative potential of young people, and develop communication between university students.

It is no coincidence that when evaluating the results, the commission was guided by such criteria as the project creativity of the proposed essay; the possibility of implementing the idea of the essay in accounting theory and practice; ingenuity and the ability to answer questions.

The Olympiad was held in two stages: the first stage was the practical part (solving test problems); the second stage was the essay defense.  The first round was held in the form of solving test problems on the theory and practice of accounting. In the second round, a group of participants (a team) defended an essay prepared on one of the proposed topics.

The organization and holding of the Olympiad on the basis of the International University of Engineering and Technology has become a good tradition and is an important factor in the academic and intellectual development of students studying in the specialty "Accounting and Auditing".

According to the results of the discussion, the following winners were determined by the members of the commission:

The Scrabble team, Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov.
