On August 20, 2024, during the «China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week» in Guiyang, China, the Rector of the International Engineering and Technology University, Sarsenbekova Gulnar Alibekovna, signed several cooperation agreements in the field of education.

To establish a strategic partnership, an agreement was signed with Beijing Huatec Information Technology Co., Ltd., a company providing educational technologies. Huatec is implementing the «Jingshi Institute» project under the Resolution of the Center for International Humanitarian Exchange of the Ministry of Education of China. The International Engineering and Technology University was selected as a partner for this project from universities in the "Belt and Road" countries.

In order to implement academic mobility programs, exchange technological expertise, and host lectures by leading Chinese educators at METU, cooperation agreements were signed with a specialized vocational school in Lianyungang and the Xinjiang State Higher Vocational and Technical College. These institutions offer five-year higher vocational education, secondary vocational education, technical education, adult education, and vocational skills training.
