AT THE DEPARTMENT OF BIOCHEMICAL ENGINEERING AN OPEN MEETING TOOK PLACE LECTURE "INTERFERENCE OF LIGHT"

Valery Eduardovich Nikulin, Associate Professor, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, held an open lecture on the topic "Interference of light".

The purpose of the lecture is to present interference phenomena to students from the perspective of wave optics. During the lecture, the basics of wave optics, light interference, coherence, methods for observing light interference, interference in thin films, Newton rings, interferometers, and technical applications of interference were considered.

The relevance of the topic "Interference of light" is associated with the key role of the phenomenon in understanding the wave nature of light, as well as with the widespread use of interference in science and technology.
