“Speaking Club” METU

To develop the spoken English skills of students of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines and World Languages, meetings are organized weekly on Saturdays at the Speaking Club (1st building, auditorium 74, 11.30 a.m.). The Club`s founder is a teacher of the department Anyanwo Prince Chukwuemeke, holder of the international CELTA certificate, has many years of experience teaching students English the language.

The students` enthusiasm and lively desire to practice oral speech skills in English are provided by a relaxed atmosphere, always interesting topics, and a playful form of mastering them.

The members of the Speaking Club shared their impressions after the next meeting:

I liked the speaking club because we all got a chance to express our opinions. It was a very interesting experience, but I would add the opportunity to give everyone more time. We had a great time.

Zhirenchin Tair, BT24-1r

The teacher is friendly and knows how to hear us. Even if someone is shy, it will always help to express their thoughts. The lesson is fast, but very clear and with great benefit.

Ermek Alibek, PI24-1.3r

“Speaking Club” was very interesting, we learned a lot of new words, and also learned how to make sentences with these words. The teacher is really cool, explains it interestingly, and is open to any questions from students. In general, I am very glad that I attend these classes.
