On November 25, 2024, as part of a historical and
educational evening, a meeting titled “Alaş Leaders and National Interests”
took place. The guest of honor was Salkynbek Dosaly Isakhanuly, an academician
of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker of
Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honorary Citizen of Arys City, and a
professor at Satbayev University.
During the meeting, the professor shared valuable
historical archival data about the political life and unforgettable
contributions of patriotic Kazakh intellectuals. Among those who aspired for
the sovereignty of the Kazakh people were prominent figures of the Alaş
movement: Alikhan Bokeikhan, Khalel Dosmukhamedov, Mustafa Shokay, Mirzhakyp
Dulatov, Mukhamedzhan Tynyshbaev, and others.
The goal of the Alaş leaders was unified: to make
Kazakhs an independent nation, to elevate the country among developed states,
and to enlighten and educate the people. For this cause, these esteemed sons of
the Kazakh nation did not fear for their own lives but worried for the future
of their descendants. Students
listened to the professor with great interest, asked questions, and engaged in
lively discussions.
