A citywide clean-up was held in Almaty today with the participation of mayor of the Bostandyk district of Almaty, Alin Sanzhar Mendybaevich.

Students of the International University of Engineering and Technology took an active part in the citywide clean-up.The purpose of the clean–up is to clean city streets and public places, increase responsibility for environmental protection, and form an ecological culture in society.

Alin Sanzhar Mendybaevich noted the ecological importance of clean-up days and invited students to take care of nature and participate in such events more often. He also noted that the active participation of young people in such events is very important. This is due to the fact that students are responsible citizens of the future and through such activities increase their responsibility towards the public environment.METU University students took part in this event with great responsibility and contributed to the improvement of the city.
