III INTERNATIONAL FORUM "Enhancing the Role of Employers in Professional Training as a Quality Indicator for Design and Implementation of Educational Programs in the Context of Globalization"

On December 11, 2024, the III International Employers Forum was held at the International Engineering and Technology University (IETU), bringing together leading experts, educators, and business representatives to discuss pressing issues of improving the quality of educational programs and strengthening collaboration between universities and employers.

The forum became an important platform for sharing experiences and implementing innovative approaches to professional training in the context of globalization.

The forum`s opening ceremony featured a welcome address by Gulnar Sarsenbekova, the rector of the International Engineering and Technology University. She highlighted the importance of strengthening ties between universities and employers to enhance the quality of education and train highly qualified professionals for rapidly evolving industries.

Key speakers of the forum included:

Tony Sun, Director of International Educational Planning at Huatec (Beijing, China), who spoke about leadership in education reform, professional development, and innovative educational concepts.

Hong Jinsung, Director of the Korea Global Center (Korea), who explored creating an ecosystem with IETU to support Kazakhstan’s manufacturing industry and the development of a practical digital industry.

Zhanna Iskenova, Relationship Development Manager for ACCA Central Asia, Armenia, and Mongolia, who discussed preparing IETU students according to international ACCA standards.

Janar Turebekova, Deputy Director of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken," who addressed current labor market and business issues.

Dr. Ibrahim Kubilay, Head of the External Relations Department at Suleyman Demirel University (Isparta, Turkey), who examined the role of universities as bridges integrating education, science, and industry.

Takhir Takabayev, General Director of "Akademset," who delivered a report on developing industrial-practical bases for IT specialties in Kazakhstan.

Special attention was given to the following topics:

Collaboration between universities and employers in shaping professional competencies.

Leadership in education and professional development.

Development of innovative practices in education and the business sector.

Our long-term partners, representatives of Osh Technical University named after M.M. Adyshev, actively participated in the event in an online format. 25 participants from OshTU joined the forum, demonstrating their high level of interest and commitment to the joint development of educational initiatives.

A significant milestone of the forum was the inauguration of advanced laboratories at IETU. These included research labs in software engineering, biochemical engineering, food production technologies, and smart technologies. These innovative spaces will open new opportunities for students and researchers, providing hands-on training aligned with modern market requirements.

The event continued with a packed program addressing critical issues such as the development of laboratories and research centers meeting international standards and the needs of modern industries. Forum experts participated in working sessions across various fields, including biochemical engineering, smart technologies, and economics, facilitating idea exchange and generating recommendations for improving students’ professional training.

The forum concluded with awards and signing agreements. Partner companies, such as "Aksay Nan," "Korean Global Center," "MaxImagine," "Goji," "Prosnab-service," and many others, were recognized for their contributions to education and collaboration with the university.

The forum was a landmark event in the education sector, bringing together the academic community, employers, and students to create an effective professional training system that meets global standards.
