On December 11, 2024, the grand opening of the scientific and educational laboratory "New Materials and Promising Technologies" took place at the International University of Engineering and Technology.

The opening ceremony was attended by the rector of the International University of Engineering and Technology - Gulnar Alibekovna Sarsenbekova, the first vice–rector-Vice–Rector for Academic Affairs and International Relations – Darkhan Berikovich Akpanbetov, Vice–Rector for Science, Innovation Policy and Marketing - Oksana Leonidovna Karuna, Head of the Department of Biochemical Engineering - Elena Vladimirovna Solodova, Associate Professors Ruslan Gennadievich Kondaurov and Evgeny Alexandrovich Melnikov, as well as students, undergraduates and doctoral students.

The symbolic red ribbon was cut by the General Director of Ecoservice-C LLP, Seilkhan Akkazinovich Askarov.

The main purpose of the creation of the scientific and educational laboratory is the growth of the academic environment created in Higher Education as a team of teachers, researchers, doctoral students and students for the implementation of scientific projects within the framework of grant financing of scientific research.

Currently, the creation of a scientific and educational laboratory will provide an opportunity for students, undergraduates, doctoral students and young teachers/scientists to create a creative team and implement scientific projects that meet their interests.

The scientific and educational laboratory of New Materials and Advanced Technologies conducts scientific research in the following areas: chemical technology of organic substances; ecology and life safety; biotechnology; bioengineering and bioinformatics, etc.

There is one thing in common in these trajectories – it is the experience of team project work acquired in the Laboratory, new knowledge, skills and connections that will be useful in the academic world and in business.

The laboratory of "New Materials and Advanced Technologies" has been opened at the Department of Biochemical Engineering, where teaching is carried out by experienced practical scientists, teachers who have completed scientific internships abroad.
