Education, science, business: bridges of cooperation discussed at the III International Forum
On December 11, 2024,
the International Engineering and Technology University (MITU) hosted a forum
on the topic: "Enhancing the Role of Employers in Professional Training
as an Indicator of the Quality of Educational Programs in the Context of
Globalization."
The event brought
together representatives from businesses and universities in Turkey, China,
Korea, Russia, and Kyrgyzstan. MITU Rector G.A. Sarsenbekova emphasized the
importance of integrating education, science, and business to prepare highly
sought-after specialists.
The forum`s program
included expert presentations, discussions on innovative approaches, and the
signing of cooperation agreements with leading companies. Additionally, modern
laboratories in software engineering, biochemistry, and smart technologies were
inaugurated.
Plenary Session
The first part of the forum featured speeches by key speakers who shared their
experiences and perspectives:
- Leadership
in Educational Reform and Professional Development: Innovative Practices
and Educational Concepts.
Tony Sun, Director of International Educational Planning at Huatec
Information Technology Co., Ltd. (Beijing, China), spoke about innovative
approaches in education.
- The
Role of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses in Adapting the Labor Market to
Modern Challenges.
Zhanar Turebekova, Acting Deputy Director for Small Business
Development and International Cooperation at the National Chamber of
Entrepreneurs "Atameken," highlighted the necessity of active
collaboration between universities and businesses.
- Developing
Practical and Production Bases for IT Specialties in Universities of Kazakhstan.
Takhir Takabayev, General Director of "Akademset" LLP,
presented successful practices in this field.
- The
University as a Bridge for Integrating Education, Science, and Industry.
Dr. Ibrahim Kubilay, Head of the Department of External Relations
at Suleyman Demirel University (Isparta, Turkey), emphasized the
importance of universities in uniting different sectors.
- Creating
an Ecosystem for Kazakhstan’s Processing Industry and Developing the
Digital Economy.
Han Jin Sun, Director of the Global Korea Center, discussed
strategic partnerships with MITU for implementing advanced technologies.
- Qualification
and Competency-Based Approaches in Professional Training of MITU Students
According to ACCA Standards.
Zhanna Iskenova, Head of the ACCA Representative Office in
Kazakhstan and Central Asia, presented a report on the qualification and
professional training of MITU students in line with international ACCA
standards.

The forum became a step
towards building a robust educational ecosystem that meets the demands of the
global market.
