On January 15, 2025, the Department of Biochemical Engineering hosted a session within the framework of the educational and methodological conference «Models and methods of teaching in the context of improving the quality of engineering education», dedicated to the training of specialists in biochemical engineering and life safety.

The session was attended by Bakytzhan Tursynovich Zhumagulov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The session was attended by teachers of the department – doctors and candidates of sciences, professors. Practical scientists, heads of laboratories of leading research institutes and centers. 

Elena Vladimirovna Solodova, Head of the Department of Biochemical Engineering, noted that education is a unity of upbringing and learning. These areas of activity are interrelated and are aimed at the comprehensive development of trainees and their acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies. The main task of the university is to train a specialist with a developed engineering mindset.

During the session, important issues were raised on the transformation of educational programs in accordance with the demands of the labor market and sustainable development (ESG standards), updating the material and technical base, improving teaching methods, expanding the production base of practices, issues of internal and external academic mobility, etc.
