According to the schedule of the Department of Biochemical Engineering, they began to conduct advisory hours! Online and offline, for the convenience of METU students!

An adviser hour is the time allocated for students to interact with an adviser (mentor) who helps them navigate the educational process, solve academic and personal issues, and build a professional development strategy.

The purpose of this hour is to create a space for individual or group work, where students can receive support, ask questions and discuss their plans or difficulties. This helps to strengthen the bond between the student and the university, as well as improve adaptation and learning success.

Issues on the agenda raised at the advisory session:

1. Familiarization with the academic calendar at the beginning of the spring semester

2. 100% attendance tracking

3. Introduce the newly arrived student to the group

4. Production practice in Turkey

5. Additional question! Providing information about the university to the schools where each student studied, or providing educational work to parents about career guidance.
