As part of preventive work among students, advisors of the «Software Engineering» department at the International University of Engineering and Technology (METU) conducted advisory sessions on the topic «Preventive and Informational Measures to Prevent Drug Addiction and Drug Distribution».

The primary goal of these sessions was to inform students about the dangers of drug use, promote a healthy lifestyle among young people, and explain the legal consequences of drug-related activities.

During the advisory sessions, lecturers discussed the negative impact of drugs on physical and mental health, explored the mechanisms of youth involvement in harmful habits, and explained ways to resist external influences. Special attention was given to legal responsibility for drug possession, distribution, and consumption.

Students received informational materials and real-life case studies to help them understand the seriousness of the issue and make informed choices. Additionally, participants actively discussed drug prevention strategies, the influence of social environments on harmful habits, and the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle.
