As part of the Year of Student Self-Government, the International University of Engineering and Technology (METU) launched a literary challenge dedicated to the work of Kazakh poet Mukagali Makatayev. Teachers, starting from the heads of METU and ending with the teaching staff, actively participated in supporting the student initiative. More than a thousand students read the poet`s touching songs and popularized them on social networks. During the challenge, literary evenings and advisory hours were organized, and instructive meetings dedicated to Mukagali`s legacy were held. The poet`s name is eternal, proved by the younger generation! Love for the Motherland grew out of the writer`s poems and enriched his spiritual culture.
