On February 11, 2025, a curator hour was held with the students of the groups Fin-22-1r, Fin-23-1r, Fin-24-1r, together with the advisor Nurmukhambet Laura Khalelovna from the Department of «Economics and Business», and the coordinator of advisors from the Department of «SGDiMYA», Shaimukhanova Saule Dyusetaevna. They provided information to METU students about the current achievements of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international cooperation, and the digitization of technologies. This year at METU was declared the «Year of Self-Governance», which contributes to the development of students` leadership qualities and their active participation in academic and social life. Additionally, information was shared about the creation of a construction team at METU.

The year 2025 has been declared the «Year of Skilled Professions» in Kazakhstan. The Head of State emphasized the importance of vocational education reform to ensure economic growth and enhance its investment attractiveness. «The Year of Skilled Professions will contribute to promoting the ideas of hard work and professionalism in our society», the President noted. He also emphasized that individuals who achieve success through honest and diligent work should be respected and honored.
